Ahoy, April!
Are you thinking about embarking on a magical voyage with Captain Mickey? If so, you are in for a vacation of a lifetime aboard Disney Cruise Line! There is
so much included that it is a tremendous value for your family vacation. I enjoy the planning almost as much as the cruise itself, so I'm happy you're here for some help.
April, there is not a payment plan for Disney Cruise Line at this time, but I do have some useful information and tips that I think will come in handy as you devise your plan to pay for your voyage. When you secure your reservation, you'll only need to pay a deposit, which is usually 20 percent of your total cruise cost. Final payment is due somewhere between 75 and 120 days prior to your sailing (the actual date will depend on which cruise you select for your crew). But, you can call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 to make a payment anytime before that date if you want to pay along the way. I like to budget for our cruises by purchasing Disney Gift Cards at my local grocery store when I shop each week. By doing so, I can either call Disney Cruise Line to apply my gift card amount to my cruise balance or wait to use them while onboard for any extras we decide to purchase. Cruises can normally be reserved about 18 months ahead of time, and typically you'll find the best rates when dates are released. If you think about it, this will give you a lot of time to save and pay for the cruise. This is the strategy I use most often, and it has worked well for my family as it gives us plenty of time to plan, pay and look forward to our vacation. I'm always very surprised at how quickly the time goes by as we countdown. It really is part of the fun!
I hope this helps, April. Please let us know what other questions you have about planning a cruise with your favorite Disney Pals!
Have a magical day!
