We are paying out of pocket for our meals on our upcoming trip. We have three kids who are not big eaters. Can they share meals at table service restaurants?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Danielle! I’m happy to see that you have a plan in the works to visit the Walt Disney World Resort with your family!

Danielle, I’m right there with you! I have two daughters who can be very picky for all their meals! With that said, I’ve never had a problem splitting their meals at any Walt Disney World Resort restaurant.

Just this past June, my family and I had dinner at Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. While my husband and I enjoyed some Island Tuna Poke as a starter, I knew our girls would not be so adventurous in their ordering. I placed one order for a kid’s chicken tenders and fries and my girls split the meal. I also opted out of dessert because we were heading over to the Magic Kingdom Park after dinner and were looking forward to some sweet treats at Sleepy Hollow. The server was very understanding and even informed me that the price of the meal was adjusted because it didn’t include dessert.

Communication is key, and Cast Members are always wanting to make your experience magical! So just let them know what your dining needs are!

As you’re making your plans, remember that you can start booking your dining reservations 180 days before your planned visit. Make sure to include all your Mouseketeers in your plans, even if they are sharing a dish.

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to come back to see us soon with any other planning questions you might have. Helping you plan your magical stay is our favorite thing to do!
