Hey, Staecy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. With the holidays approaching, there has been one thing sitting at the top of my wish list - Disney Gift Cards! No worries about needing to exchange them as they are always the correct size! Haha! With so many merchandise and dining locations all over Walt Disney World Resort accepting them, they are our preferred way to pay while on vacation. One quick tip I want to share with you: be sure to register yours on the
Disney Gift Card web page. You can even combine the money from multiple cards onto one main card. I usually do this before calling into the Disney Reservation Center to pay off my Disney Resort Vacation Packages.
Staecy, If you do find that you need to modify or (gasp!) cancel your upcoming
Disney Resort Hotel stay, any funds that will be refunded to you will be returned to the original payment source. In your case, it sounds like you will receive a refund to your Disney Gift Cards, so I sure hope you kept them! If by chance you do not have those Disney Gift Cards anymore, just speak with the Cast Member about it and I am sure they can come up with an alternate plan for you.
Please note that there are deadlines for cancellations and trip modifications. I am not sure if you booked a room-only stay or a
Disney Resort Vacation Package, so be sure to check your confirmation email for specifics. You can also
call the Disney Reservation Center for more information as it relates specifically to your booking. Thank you again for reaching out to us and please let us know if you have any other questions!
