How can I pay for park tickets with 2 gift cards?

    Hey there, Jessica!

Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, it sounds like you have a magical trip to the Disneyland Resort coming up very soon! I'm really excited for you, but let's make sure that you can use your Disney Gift Cards to purchase your Theme Park Tickets.

As you've witnessed, the Disneyland website will typically only allow you to apply one Gift Card towards a transaction. However, you may consolidate multiple Gift Cards into one card over at disneygiftcard.com and then use that card for the purchase. That site allows you to register your Disney Gift Cards to keep track of them and you may transfer balances among your cards, with a single Gift Card holding up to $1000. The site is not a mobile wallet, however, so keep those physical gift cards because you'll still need them if they hold a balance and you want to charge something to them!

When you do make it to the Disneyland Resort, keep those cards handy and I like to recommend keeping the account # stored in a Notepad app so you can easily copy and paste it for mobile payments (the Disneyland Mobile App doesn't allow you to store a gift card). You can also scan the bar code but I find copying and pasting way easier.

Fun Fact: Disney used to print their own currency! Disney Dollars were first sold at Disneyland Park on May 5, 1987 and Scrooge McDuck delivered the first ones in an armored truck. The sale of Disney Dollars ended on May 14, 2016 and they are now considered valuable collectibles.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be going on over your visit, so pack your appetite and keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for an upcoming Foodie Guide so you know which booths to visit. I like purchasing the Sip and Savor Pass, selecting my dishes, and then buying them all at one booth. I keep the receipt and then just pick up my dishes at the various pick-up windows, avoiding another wait in the ordering line.

Jessica, I hope that this was helpful for you and that you can get your park tickets and reservations soon. I wish you a truly magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and be sure to come back if you have any further questions!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
