Welcome to planDisney, Edna!
As someone who considers Walt Disney World Resort's nighttime spectaculars a significant part of her personality - there's just something about seeing Tinkerbell take flight and cheering on Mickey as he uses the power of his imagination to vanquish the dark that transforms this Disney adult into a tiny Mouseketeer once more - I'm delighted to help you make sure you don't miss a moment of the magic!
You'll be happy to hear that all of Walt Disney World's
fireworks and nighttime entertainment offerings are available to Guests with a valid theme park ticket at no additional charge. Now, because these magical displays are the highlight of the day for many Guests, the spots with the best views often fill quickly, so if you're hoping to see
Happily Ever After from near the Hub on Main Street, U.S.A. or grab a seat near the center section of Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre for
Fantasmic! you'll want to be in your desired location no less than an hour before either show begins.
If you're like me and would rather spend your evening enjoying attractions and dining, there are options available for purchase that will guarantee your viewing spot.
- The Fantasmic! Dining Package can be purchased for lunch or dinner at one of Disney's Hollywood Studios' best restaurants. When you dine you'll be given a voucher for guaranteed seating in the reserved section for that evening's performance of Fantasmic!
- Magic Kingdom Park offers Fireworks Dessert Parties that include an all-you-care-to-enjoy dessert buffet either before or after the fireworks and a designated area to stand during the fireworks display. I'm a huge fan of Seats & Sweets where you'll have a seated viewing area at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, and Tinkerbell has been known to fly right overhead!
- For guaranteed seating during EPCOT's Luminous The Symphony of Us, you'll want to reserve either the Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package or the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package. These experiences are unique in that you'll remain seated at your dining table as the display is taking place.
It's important to remember that while these options will guarantee prime viewing areas, they are not necessary to enjoy the shows. As a frequent visitor to The Most Magical Place on Earth, I have had wonderful experiences queueing early for my desired spot, purchasing one of the extras to secure a seat, and even walking up just before the show began and finding a decent spot. If you do choose to enjoy one of the options listed above, these
become available for purchase 60 days before your visit, and the purchase process can conveniently be completed online.
I hope this information is helpful, Edna, and that you're hearing 'Go the Distance' as the sky above Cinderella Castle erupts in a symphony of color so very soon.
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
