Welcome aboard, Angela! Have you been browsing the exciting
Port Adventures that Disney Cruise Line offers in each and every one of its ports of call? That is sometimes one of the hardest parts of planning our cruise: choosing which adventures we want to experience!
I'm happy to let you know that guests may certainly use Disney Gift Cards to pay for extras on their cruise. In fact, my family and I do this every time we sail. I pick up a few Disney Gift Cards at our local grocery store throughout the year when I do my regular shopping. It's an easy way to save for the cruise! My grocery store offers double or triple fuel rewards for gift card purchases, so I even save money on filling up the car when I buy Disney Gift Cards there. It's a win-win!
The gift cards can be used toward any charges you put on your stateroom account, including Port Adventures,
traditional gratuities, shopping, and more. Simply take your Disney Gift Cards to the Guest Services Desk toward the beginning of your cruise and they'll add those as credits onto your stateroom account. Any charges over and above what the gift cards cover will simply be charged then to the credit card you have on file. You can also use the Disney Gift Cards directly in the
gift shops onboard if you don't want to charge to your stateroom account. In addition to onboard spending, Disney Gift Cards can be used to pay off the cost of your cruise before setting sail! You'd just need to give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 to make a payment to your account. We do this all the time!
I hope that helps as you get ready for your magical adventures with Captain Mickey and his crew, Angela! Happy planning!
