When I pay for a 3 day/night ticket, is it limited to a particular theme park or all? Does the 3 day/night ticket, clear me to the rides or I must pay separately for any ride I wish to get on.

Hello there, Margaret, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for coming to us with your question and I'm really excited for you to experience the Disneyland Resort for the first time! It's a truly magical place and I've been privileged to have grown up within a day's drive of the Resort. There's definitely something special there because it is Walt Disney's original Park and you can still see his touches in many of the attractions and details of the Park.

Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets are categorized as either One Park Per Day or Park Hopper Tickets. This will be one of the first choices you make as you move through the purchasing process on the Disneyland website (or through your travel agent). The Park Hopper feature does cost a little extra. You'll have to select a starting Park, but then you're allowed to hop between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at will after 11 a.m. (subject to capacity). It's a great benefit especially since the two Parks are so close together and you're free to return to the other Park if there's something you want to see. If you opt for One Park Per Day, then you'll be limited to staying in that one Park for the day.

Your ticket will entitle you to all the shows, entertainment, and attractions within the Park you've selected. It does not cost anything extra to experience the attractions via the standard standby queue. If you want to maximize your time, I would recommend considering Genie+, a paid service that allows you to utilize Lightning Lanes at select attractions, which bypasses a large portion of the regular standby queue. You'll be able to see and do so much more throughout the day!

The Halloween Season will be going on during your visit, so get ready for pumpkin spice and seeing the characters in cute Halloween costumes! It's my favorite time of year to visit and I hope you enjoy the decorations as much as I do.

Margaret, I hope that this information was helpful for you. You're always welcome at planDisney, so feel free to write again if you have more questions! I wish you the best time at the Happiest Place on Earth and we'll see ya real soon!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
