How do I pay for the Build-a-Droid experience using a Disney gift card on the My Disney Experience app?

Bright suns, Samuel! I'm so glad you decided to blast over to a panel far, far away because planDisney is one with the Force. You'll be arriving at Disney's Hollywood Studios in just a few parsecs, so let's jump to lightspeed.

It sounds like you want to visit Droid Depot on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit, and as R2-D2's number one fan, I support your plan to create your own mechanical pal. Since you're within your 60-day booking window, let's look at what types of payment you can use to secure this Enchanting Extra.

I chatted with a Jedi Cast Member who recommended calling the Tours and Recreation line if you prefer to pay for this droid-building experience with a Disney Gift Card. She confirmed that only credit cards are accepted online or through your My Disney Experience mobile app.

If you plan to use more than one payment method, you can do so over the phone. I suggest you call as soon as possible to secure your spot; you never know when the Empire could intervene!

Did you know the droid builder can bring along one guest to Droid Depot? This padawan can observe and offer advice, but they won't build a droid of their own. I think it would be magical to share the experience with someone. And you can grab a Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka's Kettle afterward to celebrate. It's the best drink in the galaxy!

Samuel, I wish you pleasant and safe travels to Batuu. These ARE the droids you're looking for, so have a fantastic time. Stop by planDisney again soon. Til the spire!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine

My family has been visiting Walt Disney World Resort for over 25 years, so if you have questions about adult-only visits, plant-based meals, thrill attractions, and Florida-resident perks, I'm here for you in full Force.
