Hola, Julia, and welcome aboard planDisney!
Can you believe you are less than a month away from your Disney Cruise Line vacation? You must be counting down the days!
I'm glad you plan to spend time in
Barcelona before your ship sets sail. Barcelona is one of my favorite cities for many reasons, including the beautiful beaches, so I understand why you want to spend some time soaking up the sun with your toes in the sand!
You are permitted to arrive at the port after your designated
port arrival time, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Since the arrival times are staggered to create a more efficient port check-in process and keep Guest waiting time to a minimum, you may have to wait a bit longer. So, while the All Aboard is at 3:45 p.m., you will want to arrive in plenty of time to complete your arrival process before that time in case you experience any glitches with your documents and to complete the security process each Guest goes through when entering the port. Also, Barcelona traffic can be a little unpredictable, so allow plenty of travel time. One of the good things about arriving a little later is that your stateroom might be ready when you board.
Speaking of boarding, if you worked up an appetite on the beach,
Cabanas usually serves buffet lunch until 3:30 p.m. on embarkation day. As soon as you board, check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the specific time.
Julia, you are going to have a dreamy cruise! Please let us know if you have other questions; we are always happy to offer tips and advice!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
