The past 4 years we have visited WDW in late April, early May..and love it. Now with our oldest in high school, I need to consider other times of the year that would work in our schedules. What is it like in late June at WDW? would that be comparable?

    Hi Karen!

I have the same dilemma as you! My daughter is now in high school and my son is in middle school. This makes it so much harder to plan a family vacation!

June is a great time to visit Walt Disney World, but I think you will find that it slightly more crowded towards the end of the month. You may not notice much of a difference if you're an early riser or prefer to tour the parks later in the day. Midday you're likely to notice the crowds are slightly higher, and that it can be quite warm out. Since June kicks off the summer season in Florida, you'll want to be sure to plan for afternoon swims and breaks out of the heat.

A couple of other times to consider are late August since many U.S. schools head back for the new school year and December before the Christmas Holidays. My kid's schools often go on Holiday break by the middle of December, so we can fit in a trip before the holiday crowds arrive.

    Hope this helps!
