In past years, children on the basic dining plan were allowed an appetizer. I don't see this on the 2012 brochure. Have things changed?

    Hi Erin!

The 2012 Disney Dining Plan comes with one table service (TS), one quick service (QS) and one snack per guest per night of your stay. The TS meals include one entree, one drink and one dessert. You are correct, the 2011 DDP plan stated that the children's meals came with an appetizer, but this was a bit confusing because the children's meal only came with an appetizer if the appetizer was part of the overall meal for the child. Children couldn't order off of the appetizer menu, but at California Grill for example, the children's meal came with a salad as part of their TS, while the adult meal did not. That language has been removed from the 2012 DDP.

The Deluxe Disney Dining Plan does include one appetizer, one entree and one dessert per table service meal for both adult and children. If you would like an appetizer for yourself or your children, then the Deluxe DDP is the way to go.

    Magically,
    Stacy
