In the past Disney has offered the Dining plan for free at the end of August thru September. Do you have any idea if they will do it again this year, and when it will become available?

Unfortunately we don't have access to any more information than the general public.  Nevertheless I'll share all of the information that I do know on this topic...

Free Dining is something that Disney has done in the past, and I imagine might do in the future, but it is not guaranteed.  I can however, provide you some detailed historical information to help you try to "forecast" what might happen in 2008 (again, please keep in mind that there might not be any additional "free dining" offered)...

In recent history, the general public dates for "free dining" packages have been:

2005:  Aug 21 to October 4  (announced in early June 2005)

2006: August 13 to September 30 (announced in early  April 2006)

    2007: August 26 to September 22 (announced in mid-April 2007)

So far, the only free dining that I have heard about for 2008 are the following (offered in 2007, and no longer available):

    -  For UK residents:  August 10 to September 27

    -  "Bounceback" promotions for selected 2007 guests:  August 30 to September 27

    Hope that helps!
