Ahoy Latasha!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are planning for a high seas adventure onboard a
Disney Cruise Line ship. I am excited to hEAR you will be sailing with Captain Mickey!
What I love about cruising with Disney is that there are so many
unique and diverse destinations to choose from. It is important when traveling with all your favorite Disney pals that you have the appropriate travel documentation to ensure smooth sailing.
In general, if you are a United States citizen cruising from any port outside of the United States, an original valid U.S. Passport will be required. If you are leaving from a U.S. port and returning to that same port, you can travel with an original valid U.S. Passport or else both an original or copy of your state issued birth certificate AND government issued photo ID. If you are leaving from a U.S. Port but debarking in a port that is different from where you boarded the ship, you must have an original valid U.S. Passport.
Requirements may be subject to change, so be sure to check the
passport and travel documentation required specific to your sailing. It is always a great idea to check the U.S. State Department's website as well to determine travel documentation requirements.
I recommend if you have a U.S. Passport to carry it with you on any sailing. In the unfortunate event of an emergency, it is good to have this documentation with you if you need to return to the U.S. in a manner other than the ship.
Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions as you prepare for your magical getaway!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
