Ahoy there, Debra!
Welcome back to planDisney! It sounds like your
Online Check-In date is quickly approaching, so I'm glad you sailed by with your question.
For your crew's security photos, you will submit recent, forward-facing color photos without filters or glare. They don't have to be fancy, everyone can simply take them with their smartphone. They do need to be different from the photo on your Government-issued ID, so a fresh picture is best. Once you upload the image, there is a "resizing" tool on the website that will help make sure everything is picture-perfect.
You will also need photos of everyone's
required identification documents. So, be sure to have your friends and family send you a picture of their passport picture page or a photo of State-issued birth certificates and Government-issued photo ID for the Online Check-In. You will need the originals of these documents in order to board the ship on embarkation day.
All images must be submitted as JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG files, and I always like to make sure they are properly formatted in advance so there aren't any glitches when submitting them. Once you have submitted everything, the images must be processed and accepted, so don't worry when the status says "Pending Approval." You will receive a notification when everything is ready to go, which might take several days (or even a week or two). If you don't receive the "Approved" message the week of your cruise,
reach out to Disney Cruise Line for assistance.
Be sure to have everyone in your travel party download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before your cruise. This handy app is the best way to keep track of all the activities during your cruise. You will find your
Rotational Dining schedule, nightly entertainment, and more at your fingertips!
I hope this information is exactly what you were looking for, Debra. Please let us know if you have other questions; we are always happy to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
