Welcome Home, Andrew!
Thank you for stopping by to see the
Disney Vacation Club Panelists here on planDisney! Even though I have been a Disney Vacation Club Member for more than a decade, I have yet to use my Vacation Points to stay at a standard Walt Disney World Resort, but it can be done!
Disney Vacation Club Members who hold a blue Membership Card and are eligible to use their Vacation Points for the
Disney Collection, can book vacations such as Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, and non-villa rooms at Disney resorts around the world! This is not something that can be done online, however. You will
need to call Member Services to inquire about availability and to book if you choose to do so.
A few things to check out before you call, Andrew. First, know that booking within the Disney Collection at the Walt Disney World Resort is subject to the Rule of Four, meaning you cannot book and travel within the last four months of your Use Year. These bookings are also subject to a booking fee. Once your Vacation Points have been converted to the Reservation Points that are used to book a Disney Resort Collection Hotel, that conversion is permanent and the points cannot be changed back into Vacation Points to book a villa, even if your plans change. If you’d like to get an idea of how many points will be needed, you can check out these
Points Charts before you call.
Sending you pixie dust, Andrew, that you can find availability and book a night at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
