Hi, Melissa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. Becoming a member of the Annual Passholder family is
always a fantastic idea, but it is super magical for little ones. Think of all of the pixie-dusted moments he will have this coming year, especially when visiting with his grandmother! I am sure she will have just as much fun as he will, watching him explore the parks and hanging out with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Since you will have access to all of the
Disney PhotoPass pictures, which are included in the membership for Annual Passholders, you will get to tag along on their adventures and see what fun the find.
Children are welcome to scan their finger along with their
MagicBand or Disney Theme Park Ticket to enter the theme parks. If you prefer, you can ask a nearby Guest Services Cast Member to instead take his picture and link it to his profile. This may actually be a better option for you since your son will be visiting with his grandmother without you at times. Whenever you go the theme parks for the first time after you purchase his Annual Pass, you will notice the Guest Services Cast Members all around the Mickey touchpoints. Just let the Cast Member at your Mickey touchpoint know that you would like to link his picture instead of a fingerprint. Those Guest Services Cast Members will have it done faster than you can say, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" Each time he uses his MagicBand after that point, the Cast Members will be able to easily and quickly scan his MagicBand to pull up that picture.
Thanks again for stopping by with your question and please let us know if you have any others!
