Hi Jerry!
The Tables in Wonderland is a great benefit for Walt Disney World Passholders because you can receive a 20 percent discount on all food and beverages, including drinks containing alcohol, at participating restaurants throughout the parks and resorts.
Annual Passholders, Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase the Tables in Wonderland card. Annual Passholders get a $25 discount on the card, which makes it more economical.
In regards to the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) vs. the Tables in Wonderland (TIW), it is difficult to provide an economical side-by-side comparison because each of the plans have their own benefit. With Tables in Wonderland, the 20 percent discount is great, especially if you plan to eat at only a few Walt Disney World restaurants. The DDP is excellent, especially if you plan to eat all of your meals at the park, because you can have your table service, quick service and snack included. Many times guests state that the DDP is too much food for them. In this case, the TIW would definitely save more money because you can pick and choose which meals to eat within WDW.
The participating restaurants can change at any time. There is a variety of both character meals, resort locations and theme park restaurants that participate.
The TIW is usually good for 13 months. The date of expiration will be listed on the card.
Magically,
Stacy
