Hiya Sandra,
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy you are here, and we're glad we can help with your planning question.
Speaking of which, what a great question! As an
Annual Passholder myself, I had never booked a
Vacation Package. Traditionally, Vacation Packages include theme park tickets with a resort hotel stay, and since I had an Annual Pass, I didn't think I qualified. But I was so happy to be proven wrong because I really wanted to try the dining plans and take advantage of the
free Disney Dining Plan for children 3-9! I spoke with an incredible Cast Member, Zelda, and she shared that currently Annual Passholders can book Vacation Packages, also known as ticketless packages (so no need to worry about credits). This option lets Guests who already have theme park tickets still have a Vacation Package and be eligible for perks like Magical Extras, plus the ability to pay for their vacation over time. To book these, you will need to reach out to a Cast Member in
Tickets and Hotel Reservations by phone. These magical humans will help you make your reservations and set up your package for your trip dates.
I hope this was helpful, Sandra! Before I let you go, I highly recommend having an idea of which
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels you want to stay at before you call. While Cast Members can help you find the perfect resort based on your preferred trip dates, I always find that if you have an idea of where you want to stay, or even what area that is, it's extremely helpful. I also like to look at the website first so I can see what's available for my trip and know what to expect. There is nothing more frustrating than wanting a specific resort and then learning it isn't available. If you need anything else, please come back and see us. We are always here to help!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
