Bruce,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
What I have found is that when I add my tickets to my
My Disney Experience account, it synchronizes it automatically to my
My Disney Experience App at the same time. It also loaded that ticket into the MagicMobile section of the App, which readied the ticket for use. But when I wanted to use my Apple iPhone or Apple Watch, I still wanted to be sure that the ticket was also in my Apple Wallet App.
What I did those first times was go into the MagicMobile feature via the My Disney Experience App on my iPhone to make sure that the ticket was showing there. It has been every time, but I would still strongly recommend that long before you get to the parks you check within the App to ensure it is there. If it is not, you can easily add it by following these steps.
When you open your My Disney Experience App on your phone, if you are not already on the Menu page just tap on the icon that is three horizontal lines, located in the lower right of the screen. You should see MagicMobile as one of the options. After tapping on that, you can see any passes that are ready to use and can also access an instructional video that shows you what you can do, and how to set it up, if it is not already showing in that screen.
On your park day, for your pass you can just use Express Mode as you approach the turnstiles. You don't have to open or unlock your phone. Just tap your phone by an access point and you should be ready to enter the magic!
BONUS TIP #1If you are using an iPhone, you will also see your park entry in your Wallet App, just like you would a credit card or concert ticket.
BONUS TIP #2If you are managing tickets for others in your party, you will need to open your phone to access your Wallet App (or comparable App within an Android phone) to scan them in as well.
BONUS TIP #3Did you know that within the App, and your Apple Wallet, you can actually personalize your park ticket? Mine has a Dole Whip/Adventureland theme!
I hope that this answers your question. If it does not, please feel free to
write me back directly and I can provide more guidance.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
