Hiya Carys, thanks for sailing back by planDisney.
It looks like you are set to float out of Southampton on a fantastic
Northern European cruise! We are sailing Scandinavia this summer, and I can't wait. I know you are going to love your ports of call. We sailed the Rhine with
Adventures by Disney a few summers ago, and our stop in
Amsterdam was one of our favorites. I highly recommend a stop at the Van Gogh Museum - my kids still have the ink wells they mixed there.
One of the great things about a Disney cruise is that there are plenty of opportunities to interact with
characters, whether you are dressed like them or not! I love seeing the mini Cinderellas and Jack Sparrows floating around, though, so if you have any kiddos joining you,
pack a costume for them. Disney asks that the adults stick to dressing up only on the themed nights, and here is the
proposed itinerary for those nights (the schedule is always subject to change):
• Night 1: Casual
• Night 2: Formal
• Night 3: Casual
• Night 4:
Pirate Night • Night 5: Casual
• Night 6: Semi-Formal
• Night 7: Casual
Carys, I suggest
Disney bounding if you still want to lean into the characters onboard. Find a few characters that you love their style, and see which outfits you can create that hail back to the character. You will be so impressed with your fellow sailors - someone is bound to say hey to your Snow White if you walk by in blue and yellow with a red bow!
You know where to find us with any other questions! I wish you smooth sailing.
Rayna
