Hey there, Jenny!
Welcome to planDisney! We're so happy to see you here with your question! We're kindred spirits in that we are both Magic Key Holders and love to visit the Disneyland Resort even on a blockout date. I hope you've been enjoying your
Magic Key Pass as much as I have mine! I've had it since the program's inception and I couldn't be happier.
In response to your question, on
blockout days, you would need to purchase a regular
Theme Park admission ticket. Being a Magic Key Holder does not confer any benefits during blockout dates. Please note that parking benefits, PhotoPass downloads, and Genie+ discounts would not apply on a blockout day as per the
Terms and Conditions. However, the good news is that any Magic Key discounts on food and merchandise will still apply.
When are you planning on going next to the Happiest Place on Earth? My wife and I just returned from celebrating our anniversary at
Throwback Nite and we had a fantastic time! The
Disneyland After Dark special events are a wonderful way to enjoy a nearly empty Park with special character interactions and foods! In fact, they've just announced the very first
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite! When you think you know the Parks after being a Magic Key Holder, an after hours event is a great way to see them made over for the party.
Jenny, I hope that answers your question. If you have any other inquiries, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney! We'd love to help!
We'll See Ya Real Soon!
