Hey there, hi there, ho there, Allison!
Welcome to planDisney! It's my pleasure to help you with booking your reservations for the
Blue Bayou Restaurant this spring.
How exciting! I fondly recall sharing my first anniversary meal there with my husband, and it's so easy to transport myself back to that magical moment. I can almost catch a whiff of the barge water now, the firefly lights twinkling, and the
Pirates of the Caribbean boats drifting by. Perhaps even
a signature cocktail to savor the moment.
Typically, my pal
Panelist Amanda D is the expert in gathering up large casts of characters together for
dining reservations. I learn so much from her answers! Amanda's trick is dividing larger parties into at least two reservations. Now, with your party of 7, you'll need a minimum of two reservations. That means you'll need another adult with the
Disneyland Mobile App to help you since only one dining reservation can be made by one person simultaneously.
Here's the game plan, Allison: Coordinate with your trusted Mouseketeer to book reservation times as close to each other as possible. Aim to hit that reservation button
60 days in advance – that's your golden ticket!
Pro tip: Keep the reservation times within a 30-minute window. On your reservation date, show up at least 15 minutes before the earliest reservation time, chat up the super-friendly Cast Members, and see if they can seat your whole group together (you'll likely have two tables for your entire group).
So, Allison, now that your reservation window is open, you'll just need to recruit someone from your group to help you make reservations. Make sure you each have your own
Disney account, and boom, you're all set.
I'm wishing you a fantastic time creating memories with your family, Allison! If you're cooking up more adventures or need
more tips, please
float on back again soon!
You've got a friend in me,
Danielle
