Hello We have a party of 4 travelling. 2 will be applying for DAS one with an autoimmune disease & the other with IBS. Never having used the service do we have to apply at the same time or are we able to do it separately?

    Hello Leandra!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Registering for Disability Access Service (DAS) is very straightforward when completed in person. I recommend having both guests who need the DAS service along with the rest of your party head to Guest Relations to speak with a Cast Member and get registered. The process is free and depending on the length of the line at that moment not too long. The Cast Members can work with both members of your party if they are comfortable doing so. If anything, each person will be registered one at a time. Make sure that everyone in your party is linked to the Family & Friends List so that they can be linked together for all of your DAS bookings.

Make sure that you have the latest update to the My Disney Experience Mobile App as it will be a crucial tool for your trip. DAS is set up through the app and along with the other features you will find it so useful. One of my favorite features that I still use is the "Get Directions" feature. When looking for the nearest restroom or a certain attraction just click on it on the map and then click "Get Directions." You will then get step-by-step written directions as well as a visual map to follow. I always get turned around in the Parks and even after all of the times I have visited, I'm still reviewing the map to find where I am. On my last trip, the map feature even found a way to help me navigate around the Festival of Fantasy Parade to make it to my dining reservation! Since with DAS, you are allowed to wait somewhere else as the traditional queue could be difficult, finding something nearby that may be a good place to rest is crucial. Play around with the app before you arrive so you are familiar with it.

I hope this helps and you all have a fabulous time!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
