Party of 8, 2 rooms for 3n at All Star Movies and soon to add DVC for AK Kidani 2br villa for 7n, do I need to buy an extra 1 day MYW ticket to add the DDP with a split stay? Wish to buy 10d park tickets rather than 3/7, longer you play the less you pay?

    Hi Elena!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m glad you decided on Animal Kingdom Villas at Kidani Village, it is my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort.  We love the animal viewing, education activities and the pool area is amazing!

This is a great question regarding split stays, because you are correct, that the more you play, the less you pay per day. You’ll be happy to know that the simple answer to your question is that no, you will not need to buy separate sets of tickets for your split stay in order to utilize the Disney Dining Plan! You will however have two separate sets of meal entitlements. So while you may use one 10 day ticket for the entire stay, your Disney Dining Plan will be broken up in to a 3 night section and a 7 night section. Disney Dining Plan meal credits begin on your check-in day and expire at midnight on the day you check-out. So your first set of 3 credits per person will expire at midnight on the day you check-out of All Star Movies. Then the second set of 7 credits will begin on that same day since you are checking-in to Kidani Village, and expire at midnight the day you check-out of Kidani.

If you are booking the second half of your stay with Disney Vacation Club Points, you will buy the Disney Dining Plan through that reservation via Member Services. If you are not Disney Vacation Club Members, and will be booking Kidani Village as a cash reservation through the Central Reservation Office, you will book your Disney Dining Plan through them. Make sure that no matter which method you use to book, that the agent is aware you are doing a split stay and that you have your reservation number for All Star Movies handy so the agent can make a note of it on your reservation.

Good luck with your upcoming booking. Let us know how else we can help you as you plan your exciting vacation!

    Have a Magical Day!
