We have a party of 6 people with 3 separate reservations. When it comes time to buy and book our lightening lanes is it possible to have the 3 different reservations buy their own lightening passes and then 1 person book everything?

    Hey there, Erin!

I'm delighted to welcome you to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by with your question! It sounds like you'll be experiencing Walt Disney World during one of the most magical times of the year…the holiday season. In my opinion, there's just something extra magical about being there when the parks are decked out in festive decorations and holiday cheer fills the air. You're in for a truly wonderful vacation!

How exciting that you'll be traveling with two other parties! Walt Disney World is always a little more magical when you can share the experience with family and friends. Speaking of family and friends, before your trip, you'll want to make sure everyone is connected through the Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account. Having your groups linked will make it much easier to coordinate plans together, including purchasing and selecting Lightning Lane experiences.

When it's time to purchase Lightning Lane passes, 7 days before check-in for Disney Resort Guests or 3 days before each park visit for Guests staying elsewhere, I find that it's often easiest to have one person handle the bookings if everyone hopes to experience the same attractions at the same times. This helps ensure your group can secure return times together.

One thing to keep in mind is that if a single person is making the Lightning Lane selections for everyone, that person will also be responsible for paying for all of the passes at the time of purchase. Currently, there isn't a way for each party to pay separately within the same transaction, so you'll need to settle up with one another afterward.

Erin, I hope this helps as you continue planning your trip! If any other questions pop up before your vacation, please come back and see us at planDisney.

    Magical Wishes,

    Kami
