Hello. I have a party of 9 however most restaurant reservations cannot exceed 9 guests. What can I do?

    Hey there, Laura!

Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to hear that you’re planning a springtime trip to Walt Disney World, one of the most Bibbidi Bobbidi BEAUTIFUL times of the year to visit. Spring at the parks is simply breathtaking. Everywhere you look, flowers are in full bloom, the landscaping is vibrant, and the parks have that extra sparkle in the sunshine. It’s a season that really brings the magic to life in ways you won’t see at other times of the year.

I also understand the unique challenge (and fun!) of traveling with a larger group. My family often travels in a party of 12, so I know how complex planning can feel when you’re juggling different ages, interests, and energy levels. From coordinating dining reservations to figuring out which attractions will delight everyone, there’s a lot to think about. The good news is that with some careful planning, it’s absolutely possible to have a smooth, enjoyable trip where everyone has their share of magical moments.

In fact, some of our most memorable Disney vacations have come from these big family trips. With the right strategy, your group can enjoy the best of Walt Disney World without feeling overwhelmed. And the memories you’ll make? Those are the ones that last a lifetime.

When it comes to making Advanced Dining Reservations for your group of nine, I’ve found it often works better to book two smaller tables for the same time. When you arrive, just let the Cast Member know your parties are together and politely ask if they can seat you near each other. They can’t promise it, but from my experience, Cast Members do their best to make it happen whenever they can.

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can start booking your dining up to 60 days before your check-in date for your whole stay (up to 10 days), usually beginning around 6:00 AM Eastern Time. If you’re off property, you’ll want to make reservations 60 days ahead for each day you’re planning to dine. Planning ahead really makes a difference, especially for popular spots!

Laura, I hope this gives you a helpful boost as you keep planning your trip! If any other questions pop up along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out…we’re always here at planDisney, ready to help make the magic happen!

    Happy Planning,

    Kami
