Well hello there, Kaylene! I'm so happy you made your way back to us here at planDisney.
The 4th of July holiday is a great time to celebrate at the Walt Disney World Resort. While specialty offerings have not yet been announced for this year, there are usually special fireworks at both
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT, specialty treats available throughout the resort, and just a feeling of celebration everywhere! Be sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates related to this year's celebrations.
Since you are staying at the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, you'll be within walking distance of the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT, which also means you can walk to the
Disney Skyliner station located there. I would highly recommend trying to make an advanced dining reservation for
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at the top of Disney's Riviera Resort and having this gondola system whisk you away to your dinner. This restaurant will offer views of the
EPCOT nighttime spectacular (and fireworks from
Disney's Hollywood Studios if offered) either from your table or by walking out onto their terrace. Just note that the fireworks will be in the distance, but you can still see them light up the sky. And then when you're done, just fly back to the International Gateway. Talk about convenience!
If you don't mind some extra travel, there's always the classic
California Grill at the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort, which is right across from Magic Kingdom Park. Even if you don't get a window-side table, you're welcome to step out onto their exclusive viewing platform to watch the fireworks. And then there's the underrated restaurant
Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood atop Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort that offers views of EPCOT's nighttime spectacular. But no matter which of these locations you choose, you're bound to have an unforgettable night!
Please note that due to the popularity of this holiday at the resort, it's important for you to make advanced dining reservations for your location of choice at 6 a.m. EST exactly 60 days before the date on which you'd like to dine. It's also important to be aware that if you're visiting a resort that has a beach or area where people can view fireworks without a dining reservation, those areas are usually blocked off and available
only for Guests staying at these hotels, regardless of whether or not you have a dining reservation at the resort. In fact, some hotels will give out wristbands to access the beach on this night. So just make sure that you plan on viewing the fireworks from the restaurant at which you have a reservation!
Kaylene, have a great time celebrating the 4th of July at the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions,
I'm here to help!
Enjoy a salute to all nations, but mostly America,
Matt
