Hi, we (party of 7) will be arriving in Orlando on June 12 and would like to have dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD but no space available thru onlline reservations. What are the chances we can walk up and be seated? any idea of the wait time?

Hi, Mike!  I am in the "Never Say Never" camp, and there is definitely a chance you will get a table.  My advice to you is to look for a table at an off peak time to increase your chances.  If you want to have dinner, go earlier - like in the 4 o'clock time frame - or later, say after 8 o'clock.  I have waited as long as 90 minutes for a table at Rainforest, but your experience may differ based on the time you arrive and how busy the Downtown Disney resort area is.

To help pass the time while you wait, we like to browse the shop right there at the Rainforest Cafe - there's always some little souvenir that appeals to one of my children.  We also have left my husband there under some shade, and I'll take the girls with me to have a ride on the train or to wander through some of the other shops.  If we're worried about how much damage I might do with the credit card if left to my own devices, I'll sit in the shade while my husband walks around!

Keep calling, too.  There is always a chance someone will cancel prior to your arrival, and you'll luck right into an open table.  I even call the day I am hoping to get a reservation, just to see if I might get that extra sprinkling of pixie dust and find a reservation available!

    Have a great vacation!
