For a party of 2 adults, 4 kids (6, 5, 3, under 1), on rides that only seat 2 (Mr. Toad), are the older 2 allowed to sit in their own vehicle, while my wife and I each take another child in the vehicles behind?

Hi there, Justin, and welcome back to planDisney!

It's nice to hear from you again and it would be my pleasure to answer your question! What a wonderful family you have and how awesome that you're planning on treating everyone to a visit at the Happiest Place on Earth?! There are so many magical attractions perfect for kids and you're asking about one of my favorites. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was an opening day attraction at Disneyland Park and has remained a true classic, even getting an update in 1983 along with the rest of Fantasyland.

The Park Rules and Regulations state that, to board an attraction, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older. So in this instance, your party will likely be split into two separate ride vehicles. Smaller children will board first and you'll be able to ride this attraction in two groups of 3. An adult will have to ride separately in each vehicle since all your children are less than 14 years of age. You'll face a similar issue with Peter Pan's Flight since that ride vehicle has a similar configuration. The Omnimover type ride vehicles of the Haunted Mansion and The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure will also each hold 3 of you, so you'll need to split the party there as well.

Your family can also take advantage of the Rider Switch Service that's offered at the Disneyland Resort too. This might come in handy if not all your kids want to experience a certain attraction.

Justin, it was nice of you to return to planDisney and know that we're here for you anytime! You're always welcome back and I wish you and your family a truly magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
