Hi, my partner vapes and I understand in Disney world that you can’t smoke in the parks only outside of the parks, my question is can he bring his vape in his bag to the parks and just use it when he leaves the parks? Also are nicorette inhalators allowed?

    Hey there, Demi-Leigh.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney today. Can you believe you’ll be walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. in just two short months? Have you started counting down the days yet? I know I would be!

You are correct - Walt Disney World Resort is indeed a smoke-free environment. This policy applies to the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and Disney Resorts Collection hotels. However, there are designated smoking areas on property where your partner can vape when needed. Typically, these areas are located outside the entrance of the theme parks and water parks. When you check in to your Disney Resort hotel, be sure to ask the Front Desk where the designated smoking areas are on site so your partner can find the location closest to the building you are staying in. Remember, vaping is not permitted inside your Guest room or on the balcony at any time during your stay.

Did you know you can use the My Disney Experience mobile app to find the nearest designated smoking area? If you click the search icon and type in "smoking area," you’ll see "Designated Smoking Areas" in the results list. Click on that option, then click "Find On Map." This will take you to an interactive map that shows every designated smoking area on property.

While vape pens are not in the list of prohibited items at this time, your partner should speak with a security Cast Member when they arrive at a theme park entrance to see if they are allowed to bring their vape pen into the parks with them. They should also ask the security Cast Member about the Nicorette Inhalators. Since they do not produce smoke or vapor and are merely an inhaler, the inhalators will likely be fine, but I cannot guarantee that will be the case. I suggest your partner bring along nicotine gum or a nicotine patch just in case they are told they cannot use the Nicorette Inhalator inside the parks.

Demi-Leigh, I hope this information proves useful. Please stop back by planDisney if you have further questions we can help with. Have a wonderful trip!
