Ahoy there, Ryan!
Welcome back aboard planDisney...we're so happy to have you sailing our way again! I see you've been
chatting with my panelist pal, Sami, about your incredible 10-night
Hawaiian voyage on the beautiful
Disney Wonder, and WOW...what an unforgettable adventure you have ahead! I couldn't help but peek at your itinerary, and it truly looks like a dream, filled with breathtaking island ports and plenty of relaxing days at sea soaking up all the magic onboard. Hawaii has been on my never-ending bucket list too, and the Wonder holds an extra special place in my heart since it was the very first Disney ship I ever sailed on, so your voyage feels especially magical. I'm so excited for you!
Your question truly caught my heart. My 12-year-old son has been playing the piano for four years now, and he takes his practicing very seriously. He's incredibly talented, and I'm such a proud mom. Honestly, anytime I see a piano in public, I secretly hope someone will invite him to play. And whenever I spot that beautiful grand piano on a Disney ship, my heart skips a beat wondering if maybe someday he'll get that chance.
Your partner earning her Masters degree in Piano Performance is absolutely extraordinary. What an amazing accomplishment! I completely understand and admire her desire to continue practicing while onboard. In my experience, there's usually a sign near the ship's piano asking guests not to play, but it never hurts to stop by the
Guest Service Desk once you embark and explain your situation. You might also try the electric piano in the
D Lounge and speak with a Cast Member there. While there are no guarantees, those would be the best places to start.
Ryan, I hope you have the most wonderful sailing, and I'm sending all my best wishes to your partner on her exam. I just know she'll hit all the right notes.
Thank you for sailing by planDisney, and may your journey be perfectly in tune!
