You've asked a great question, Jordana! Walt Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth, so naturally, you're going to want beautiful pictures of it!
The answer to your question is both yes and no. I looked up the
Walt Disney World Property Rules and listed under Prohibited Activities was no photography or videotaping for commercial purposes. I spoke with a Cast Member over the phone, and she confirmed this includes professional photography. You are more than welcome to bring a personal professional grade camera with you, but note that tripod stands must be able to fit inside of a standard size backpack.
Let's talk about the good news! Walt Disney World offers a line of professional photography called
Disney Fine Art Photography. There are several packages to chose from and a wide range of location choices. My sister-in-law had family photos done at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the kids' red shirts popped against the crimson roofs in the background of the resort. For the ultimate splurge, there's the Magic Kingdom Family Portrait session which allows you exclusive, guided access through Magic Kingdom Park before it opens to Guests. Imagine how enchanting those photos would be!
A budget-friendly option would be to purchase the
Memory Maker Package, which would provide you with access to unlimited downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos. While these might not be the same quality as a professional photographer, they are extremely nice. I've had PhotoPass Photographers capture some endearing moments of our family that I'll always treasure.
Have fun making some magical memories, Jordana!
