    Any particular foodcourt recommendations in the resorts? thinking it will be a good way to break and avoid theme park lunch crowds.

    Lisa,

    That is an interesting concept. There is no question that a break from the quick service dining options in the parks can be a nice change of pace!

    So there are a few that might merit a trip, where others are fine if you are staying at their particular resort, but hardly are worth the trip otherwise. Let's look at it this way;

    You are in the Magic Kingdom: I think that both Captain Cook's (in the Polynesian) or the Contempo Cafe (in the Contemporary) give you good food options as well as great scenic experiences. My preference would be Captain Cook's, simply because I love the Poly, but Contempo is very good now, has more seating, and is only a WALK away from the Magic Kingdom, vs. a monorail ride.

    You are in the Hollywood Studios or Epcot: Resort food courts within a boat ride here are not so special, frankly. But there is a lot of affordable dining nearby that is worth your consideration. I like Beaches and Cream (Beach Club), as well as the ESPN Club (BoardWalk).

    You are in the Animal Kingdom: The Mara (Animal Kingdom Lodge) is very good, has ample seating, and gives you a reason to visit this amazing, scenic resort.

    As for traveling somewhere to go to a specific food court, the only one I can think of that might merit this is the new food court at the Art of Animation. It has a lot of exciting new stations that take you out of the burger-pizza-nuggets trifecta of standards to include some more exotic new opportunities.

    Write me back if you have any follow-up questions. I love the dining questions!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
