Hi! I will be participating in the Tinker Bell half marathon weekend, and wondered if you have suggestions for the best place to book for a post-race Mothers Day lunch in the parks or in Downtown Disney. We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on taking part in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

My family can sometimes be creatures of habit, so our number one choice for dining at Disneyland Resort will always be Blue Bayou Restaurant. The restaurant is actually inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and you can see Guests take off as they begin their ride. It is a dark setting with a Cajun flare and it's a favorite for us personally. At this time they have not announced if they will be doing anything specific for Mother's Day, but I know last year they made additions to their menu just for the occasion.

To give you some variety, I also reached out to my fellow Moms Panelists that specialize in Disneyland Resort and asked their opinions. Anabel said her favorite post-race meal is Goofy's Kitchen inside of the Disneyland Hotel. It is a character dining buffet and she said it's especially delicious after completing a long race! Linda said last year they announced their Mother's Day brunches in early April, so to continue to check the Disney Parks Blog for more on that! You can book dining reservations at Disneyland Resort 60 days out, so for Mother's Day you'll want to have on your calendar to call on March 15th!

There is no better motivation to train for a race than a trip to the most magical place on earth! Learn More About Lindsey
