    I would like to participate in the 2013 disney marathon and then go on a disney cruise, but it seems the only cruise available directly after the marathon departs on the same day. Will disney provide special transportation for marathon participants?

    As a runner myself, running the Walt Disney World 20th Marathon would be an incredible personal accomplishment to achieve!  I have run the Princess 1/2 Marathon and loved experiencing the magic of running a RunDisney race!  I called Disney Cruise Line about your question and found out there is not special transportation to Port Canaveral for race participants.  You could add on the ground transportation to your cruise package, but the tricky part is the departure time.  The resort pick-up times are not scheduled until right before the cruise because it varies from sailing to sailing.  The day before your cruise, you would find out your exact pick-up time which will be between 11:00am-1:00pm.  I'm not sure if you want to risk missing the motor coach since getting back to your resort from the race will be out of your hands.  Boarding time ends at 3:45 so it would really be tight with a little over an hour drive to the port.  I wish I had better news because celebrating your accomplishment on the Disney Dream would be amazing!
