    Hi. I am going to the parks the week of May 20. I just purchased the advance option of the memory maker. I see you have 30 days till it expires but when/how does it get activated. Does the 30 days start at purchase or when the first photo is taken?

    Hi, Nicole! Do you have your biggest smile ready yet? You should really start practicing it because you will get so many opportunities to display it with Memory Maker! My family always includes this magical product in our vacation plans. Before Memory Maker, our vacation pictures looked like my husband and kids went on the vacation without me because I was always stuck behind the camera. Now, I can entrust Disney's PhotoPass photographers to get all the shots we want ... even some we may not want (there's always that dreadful Twilight Zone Tower of Terror mid-drop photo where we all look beyond terrified haha!).

    I am so glad you purchased Memory Maker well in advance of your vacation. This pre-purchase option gives guests a chance to save a bit on money and leave extra room in the budget for more Dole Whip Floats! Nicole, your Memory Maker will not activate until you download your first Disney PhotoPass photo online or via the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you download your first picture, it will remain active for 30 days. Just remember that each photo will expire within 45 days of being taken, so do not wait too long to download those memories!
