    We will be at the parks the week of the 4th of July! Are there any special events or characters we should plan on seeing or attending?

    Hi there, Kim! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach back out and ask another excellent Walt Disney World Resort question!

    There's no better place to celebrate than Walt Disney World Resort! This is particularly true regarding any holiday known for viewing fireworks displays! Did you know that, including special holiday shows, there are currently 11 different fireworks and nighttime spectaculars in the works at Walt Disney World Resort currently? That presents so many different opportunities to celebrate regardless of which day of the year it happens to be!

    However, it's always fun to view one of the many holiday spectaculars Walt Disney World Resort is known for! Historically, there are two different firework displays that are unique to July 4th. These include a special presentation of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot and Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky at Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky is actually shown on both July 3rd and July 4th due to its incredible popularity. There also tends to be Disney Character Meet and Greets featuring your favorite Disney Characters in patriotic attire, though, this has not yet been confirmed for 2019.

    I would highly suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog website prior to your arrival! Here, you can find the most up-to-date information regarding the Disney Parks and all of the special holiday offerings available.
