We will be at the parks jan 1st and 2nd. How will the crowds and weather be? Should we plan on getting there first thing in the morning to make sure we get in?

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, Sally! I know you must be getting super excited! The average high temperatures for Orlando in January is traditionally in the low 70s with the average low temperatures in the upper 40s. The unofficial website allears.net features a Historic Attendance Levels Chart and New Year's Day is categorized as "highest attendance." Although it is extremely difficult to predict crowd levels with 100% certainty, I personally think you will find the parks crowded due to the Holiday Season. I would recommend arriving to the parks at opening so that you are able to experience many attractions as the crowds will most likely increase by midday. I would agree with you that it would be very wise to arrive at park opening since the parks can reach capacity levels during the Holidays. I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a MAGICAL trip, Sally!
    Happy Planning,
