is the parks hard to walk for 5 year olds

    Hi Pamela!

It's always great to assist a fellow Georgian! As a mom of four children myself, I can honestly say the amount of walking in the theme parks can be extensive; however, each of my children handled it differently.

With my older two, I did carry the stroller when they were 3 and 6-years-old for the benefit of my younger child. I found my daughter wanted to sit in the stroller at times when my younger child preferred to walk. However, when my twins were 5, they wanted no part in riding in a stroller and definitely preferred walking. I will admit that being "stroller free" made traveling much easier by not having to collapse the strollers on the Disney buses or navigate in crowded areas of the park. I would honestly base the decision on your child and how well he/she does when you visit the mall or any other places that require a great deal of walking. If you decide to not bring a stroller from home and find the amount of walking is just too much for your little one, you can always rent a stroller at the theme parks.

I hope this information has been helpful in making the best decision for your family. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Pamela!

    Happy Travels,
