Welcome to planDisney, Amber! We are glad you brought your question to us today.
Walt Disney World Resort has introduced the
Disney Park Pass reservation system to manage theme park attendance. At this time, all Guests ages 3 and up require a Disney Park Pass reservation as well as valid
admission to enter a theme park. Reservations are limited, and availability can fluctuate. There is not a separate allocation of reservations specifically for Florida residents, however, Annual Passholders (including those with Florida Resident Annual Passes) do make their Disney Park Pass reservations through a different system than standard ticket holders. I check the
theme park reservation availability calendar pretty regularly, and I know that sometimes dates with no availability for standard ticket holders might still be available for Annual Passholder reservations and vice-versa.
If a theme park you are interested in visiting does not have reservations available on your selected date, you might consider a ticket that includes the
Park Hopper Option. Disney Park Pass reservations are only required for the first theme park you plan to visit each day. No reservations are necessary to hop to another park after 2:00 pm when park hopping hours begin (subject to park hopping availability.)
Amber, if you have any additional questions, please stop by planDisney again anytime. We are always happy to help.
