We are going to the parks with a bunch of dance friends and I have linked up with everyone so I can make all the LL multipasses. If I click on the whole group do I have to pay for everyone or does it charge their card on file for those guests?

    Hi Tara!

Welcome to planDisney! My dance team days at Disney World are some of my favorite memories! I just know you all will have an amazing time together!

Now, let’s chat about purchasing and booking those Lightning Lanes. It sounds like you have already completed the very important step of being linked via your Family & Friends List, so you’ll be ready to go when your booking window opens!

As you go through the prompts to purchase your Lightning Lane services, you'll end up being charged for the entire group if you’re doing all the bookings so that everyone ends up with the same return times. It will not charge the individual cards linked to their accounts. It’s definitely something to be aware of ahead of time because I get that it can add up quickly!

Whenever I do this for my extended family, they’re aware that they’ll need to pay me back once I’ve booked and purchased everything. If you want a heads up on how much each day will cost or potentially even get pre-payments from your friends, you can look ahead at the Lightning Lane prices on the app up to 3 weeks in advance.

To do so, you can go through the first couple of steps of purchasing the Lightning Lanes: click the purchase button on the home screen of your My Disney Experience App, then choose the date you’ll be visiting the park. From there, you can open the drop-down menu for each park to see the price of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Passes. You can do the same for Lightning Lane Premier Pass

Just know that those prices do not include tax. And as you book your Lightning Lane services, they will be pending availability. For the best chance at snagging the return times you’re hoping for, I recommend booking as soon as your booking window opens.

If you’ll be staying at a Disney World resort or select good neighbor hotel, your booking window for your entire vacation will open at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your check-in date. If you’ll be staying off property, your booking window will open at 7 AM Eastern, 3 days prior to the start date of your ticket if you have date-based tickets.

I hope that helps…and that you have the best time with your dance friends! Let us know if you have any other questions.
