which parks are best for an 8 year old girl?

    Hi Amy,

I have to say that I do not have a lot of 8 year old guys in this all boy house, but I know what my eight year old likes and I remember when I was eight so here it goes....

I think the perfect park at the age, boy or girl, is Magic Kingdom. It is, to our family, the heart of Disney World! The park offers the largest assortment of attractions including many of the classics like Peter Pan, It's A Small World, Space Mountain and my favorite, Pirates of the Caribbean. I imagine she will love the chance to meet all of her favorite Princesses and spend time around Cinderella Castle. The magic and fantasy of Disney is alive in every corner of this park and it is a great place for her to interact with all of the Disney pals as well as see some amazing stage shows, parades and fireworks. I still can remember the look on each one of my children's faces as they watched the Tinkerbell fly to start the fireworks over the Castle. This park is Disney at its finest and if you only have time for one park-this would be the place to be!

When it comes to picking a second choice most of that would depend on her interests. Does she enjoy animals and learning about wildlife? My oldest does and that makes Animal Kingdom the perfect choice for those guests. Does she enjoy learning about new countries and cultures? Is she interested in science and learning about new things like sea life, space and the land around us? If so, Epcot will be perfect for her. She will experience a number of opportunities to see up close how the world around us effects our daily life. Lastly is she a movie star in training? Does she dream of being the next Hannah Montana? Then move over Hollywood and be sure to visit Hollywood Studios. Here she can feel the thrill of the the limelight. All of these parks offers unique and wonderful things to do while carrying on the Disney magic.

I am sure no matter which park you pick, you will have an amazing time!
