Hi Jill,
Thanks for bringing such a great question our way. I'm happy to assist!
I'm so excited that you've joined the
Annual Passholder family. It's been one of my best purchases over the past 2 years, and I'm looking forward to renewing for another year of magic this spring. As you know, Annual Passholders currently receive complimentary standard theme park parking. It's a great perk, especially for local Passholders who might not always utilize
complimentary transportation associated with a resort stay.
The complimentary theme park parking benefit will be effective once your Annual Pass is activated. This is a quick process and can be completed at the ticket window on your first park visit. I took care of this the evening before my first park day since I was staying on property, but you can also visit the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs the night before (or the day of your first visit) if that's more convenient.
Self-parking at Disney Springs is complimentary.
If you plan to head directly to the parks, I recommend having your pass linked to your My Disney Experience Mobile App and letting them know when arriving at the parking entrance. I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that you will likely be charged for parking if your pass is not yet active on that first visit. However, hang on to your receipt and stop by Guest Relations once inside the park to inquire about reimbursement. A fellow panelist recently shared some
helpful info about parking fees with another guest here.
I hope this helped, Jill. If we can answer more planning questions please come right on back to planDisney and ask us. Wishing you a magical year ahead!
Magic and memories,
Amy
