Hiya Michael,
Welcome to planDisney. It won't be long now until you are on your way to
The World's Most Magical Celebration. I hope you have plans to enjoy the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. You and your taste buds will be able to take a culinary tour around The World Showcase purchasing scrumptious food and beverage options from six continents. Be sure to come hungry!
I am so glad you have purchased your
theme park admission tickets and made your
theme park reservation. Looking at the calendar, you have scheduled your Magic Kingdom visit for a day of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This special event takes place at Magic Kingdom on select evenings from mid August through Halloween. On these party evenings, Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm EST for day time Guests and only those that have purchased a special event ticket will be able to stay and enjoy the evening festivities. While the party does not officially begin until 7pm EST, party-goers are able to enter the theme park as early as 4pm EST.
You could leave your plans as they are and perhaps visit
Disney Springs that evening, but I definitely recommend purchasing the special event ticket and attending the Halloween Party. Not only will you be able to enjoy most of the theme park's attractions (often with considerably shorter lines), you will also be able to trick-or-treat at select locations throughout the park, experience unique character interactions and enjoy special entertainment options like
Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. It is a spooktacular time and should not be missed!
My suggestion would be to purchase a ticket to the party and change your day reservation to another theme park. Or, we actually like to save the standard admission ticket for a separate day and spend the early part of that day relaxing at our
Disney Resort. We then head over to Magic Kingdom in time for the 4pm entry. Just remember to keep an eye out for the Headless Horseman. I hear he likes to prowl Main Street U.S.A. on party nights. If I can help with any other planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Wishing you a boo-tiful time,
Margaret
