Hi there, Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney--I'm so glad you found our magical corner of the Internet! You've got a friend in me, and I'm happy to help with your vacation planning question.
You are in for a wonderful time on your fall trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many fun offerings to celebrate the season, from
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. I really like visiting in September and October when I find the crowds are a little lighter and the weather is cooler.
Caitlin, when you book accommodations at a Disney
Resort Hotel, you have the option of making a room-only reservation or booking a vacation package that includes park tickets. I regularly do both--if we are traveling for a family vacation I'll opt for the package, and when we visit for my daughters' dance competitions I'll just book a room and purchase tickets on-site once their schedule is set.
From the Walt Disney World website, select "Places to Stay" from the options at the top of the page and you can see availability and pricing for all of the various room types. These range from Value Resort Hotels to Deluxe Villas--and even include a
campground if that's more your speed! As you move through the booking process, you will see the option to book a package and can choose accordingly! If you decide to wait on purchasing tickets, you can do this closer to your arrival and link them to your room reservation in the handy
My Disney Experience app.
I hope this information is just what you need for your planning purposes, Caitlin! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney and please reach out again anytime if we can help with any other questions to add a little extra pixie dust to your fall Disney adventures!
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
