Good Journey, Joshua! I'm so glad you received my transmission and followed it back here to planDisney with your question. Thank the maker!
It sounds like you're preparing to visit a galaxy far, far away this August and I would love to help you with your plans to travel from
Disney's Wilderness Lodge on your home planet to the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Thankfully, it's easier than a Jedi mind trick!
I was fortunate enough to voyage on the Halcyon Starcruiser this past February and I can tell you that you're truly in for an out-of-this-world experience. I'm happy to let you know that
transportation from your Disney Resort hotel is included in your
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience! On the day I was checking out of my Disney Resort hotel, I received an important communication on the phone in my room. Be sure to keep an eye out for this transmission! It will give you directions on where to pick up your transportation at your hotel. To plan in advance, you can even let the front desk know at the time of check-in that you'll be transferring to the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and they'll be able to give you more information about what you can expect for your transportation.
Because your transportation will take you from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, my best piece of advice would be to leave your luggage at Bell Services once you check out from your Disney Resort hotel. You can head to Disney's Hollywood Studios and have a fun day in the parks, then return to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to connect with your transportation. I would recommend leaving plenty of time to return to your resort, gather your luggage from Bell Services, and prepare for your journey to the
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Arriving at the Halcyon Starcruiser at 1:00 PM is a great idea since you'll be able to soak up every minute of your adventure! This is will give you time to explore the ship, get acquainted with your room, receive your datapad orientation training, and enjoy the delicious lunch buffet (be sure to enjoy the fire melted cheese takeaway for me!).
I have a few more tips before you depart for your voyage! If you'd like to make the most of your Star Wars story, I'd recommend spending some of your extra free time in the Atrium. You'll have interesting conversations, meet intriguing characters, and may even be invited on a secret mission or two. When aboard the Halcyon, you don't have to wait for the story to come to you, either. My best piece of advice is to introduce yourself to the Crew Members! Sometimes, just letting them know your name or asking certain characters, "How can I help?" will open a whole world of opportunities. You'll also want to make sure you download the
Play Disney Parks app on your datapad (I believe on your home planet of Earth, you call this a "phone"). Also, you won't want to miss the galactic libations and curious activity happening in the Sublight Lounge!
Joshua, are you a lightsaber-wielding Jedi? Do you want to join the fight with the Resistance? Or would you prefer to help the dark side rise to power with the First Order? No matter which path you take, I wish you "Good Passage!" And if you have any other questions, I do hope you visit us again.
Ignite the spark! Light the fire!
