Hi Nicola, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! October is a BOO-tiful time to visit Disney World. I just love seeing all of the glowing Mickey pumpkins up and down Main Street, U.S.A.! So let's talk about how to secure your park tickets.
Disney World theme parks don’t reach capacity that often, but it has sometimes happened in the past, typically around major holidays like Christmas, Fourth of July, and New Year’s Eve. However, you’re coming from so far away, it would be a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer if park tickets were sold out on the day you wanted to visit! So I’d recommend buying them as soon as you can.
Park tickets can be purchased in advance on the
U.K. Disney World website, but your options are limited to a
7-Day or 14-Day Magic Ticket. They’re a great value, but if you’re looking for a shorter visit, you’ll likely have to buy your tickets when you get to the U.S. You can do this by visiting
Guest Relations at the front of the theme parks and water parks, as well as at the Disney Springs Welcome Center.
If you’ll be in the States before your Disney World visit, you might want to buy your park tickets on the
U.S. Disney World website after you land. That might give you peace of mind about a possible sell-out! On that website, you can purchase tickets for any number of days you’d like.
If you’re planning to visit EPCOT, be sure to check out
Disney Parks Blog’s Foodie Guide for the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which will be going on while you’re there. I love getting a sneak peek at the yummy dishes and planning my snacking strategy! There’s also an
Eat to the Beat Concert Series that’s included in your regular park ticket and you can buy a game board for some fun scavenger hunts, like
Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak and
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. They’re a fun way to explore World Showcase in between visiting the food booths!
Safe travels, and I hope you have a magical holiday at Disney World next month! If you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
