Can we park our Rv at Typhoon Lagoon before checking in to fort wilderness so we can use our free waterpark ticket?

Hi Carly, and welcome back to planDisney! August is the practically perfect time to cool off at a Disney World water park. And there’s no better year to do it than 2025 since admission to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach is now complimentary for Disney Resort guests on check-in day!

I’m happy to share that you can maximize your day at Typhoon Lagoon by driving directly there, as long as they’re open. I just spoke to a Cast Member who confirmed that there is RV parking. Another option would be to check in at Fort Wilderness and take the bus to and from Typhoon Lagoon (I love leaving the driving to Disney!). Even if your campsite isn’t ready, you can park your RV in the overflow parking lot. Fort Wilderness will send a text message or email when your campsite is ready for your arrival.

I love Typhoon Lagoon because your day can be as relaxing or adventurous as you want it to be! My ideal Typhoon Lagoon day starts with a ride on the family-friendly Miss Adventure Falls raft ride and then I’ll head to relax in the Castaway Creek lazy river. When I’m ready to dry off for a bit, I’ll grab a snack to enjoy on one of the lounger chairs. My favorites are the Pork Elote Nachos at Leaning Palms and the Green Matcha Tea Soft-serve at Snack Shack (one of the only spots at Disney World that has this flavor!). If you’re looking for something faster paced, you might like the Crush ’n’ Gusher water coaster!

Before I go, I wanted to share a tip for Fort Wilderness. While you don’t need a golf cart to get around the campground (you can always take the internal bus), it’s fun and convenient! If you plan on renting a golf cart, call ahead to reserve one since they’re available on a first-come first-serve basis. My family also likes to decorate our cart. Not only is it festive, but it also makes it easier to find your golf cart in the parking areas!

I hope you have a pixie-dusted day in the sun on your upcoming vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
