how do i make park reservations after i purchased tickets?

    Jodi,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

You are so smart! Booking your theme park reservations after buying your tickets is definitely the way to go. All you need to do is this.

Step 1: Make sure you have linked your park tickets into your My Disney Experience Account.

    Step 2:
Visit the Disney Park Pass page and start choosing your parks. Remember to include all the members of your party and select the date and the park. You do have to go in and make your choices one day at a time, but it is a pretty quick process.

    BONUS TIP #1

Before you plan your parks out, it is a great idea to check the Disney Park Pass Availability Calendar. It shows what parks are, or are not, available for each of your vacation dates.

    BONUS TIP #2

Don't worry if you are not 100% sure of what park you want to visit each day. For now, pick parks based on your best bet. You can change the parks later, as long as the park you are changing to still has space available. The steps for changing theme park reservations have recently been simplified. What you will want to do is go to your My Disney Experience account and select "My Plans". You can find this at the top right of the Walt Disney World website menu. Find the reservation that you want to change and click on "Manage Reservation". On the next page, you will want to click on "Modify Reservation", then select all the guests for whom you wish to change. You can change just your own reservation, or that of multiple guests. After that, select the date, and then pick the park you want to switch to. This should move you to your new selection!

    BONUS TIP #3
Not sure how to link your tickets in Step 1? Here are the simple steps!
Start at the Walt Disney World website, going to "My Disney Experience" from the top menu, at the far right. In that drop down menu, select "My Plans". You should see a series of circles lined up horizontally, one each for different kinds of reservations. Hover over the "Park Tickets" circle and then click on the "Link" button that pops up. Enter your confirmation numbers and it will add them to your plans.

Please do feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
