How can I get a park reservation at Magic Kingdom? It just filled up during the time we will be in Florida :(

Hi Kimberly, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so sorry you haven't been able to find a Disney Park Pass reservation for the date you want. I know how disappointed you must be. But I do have a couple of ideas that I hope will help you have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Let's pop over to the Theme Park Availability Calendar to see what it looks like for the days you'll be here in the Sunshine State. You listed Sunday, April 18 as your arrival date, and you're right that there are no Disney Park Pass reservations that day for the Magic Kingdom Park. However, there is availability at EPCOT that day. In fact, clicking through the rest of the week, EPCOT is available every day, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park has availability starting that Monday. The best way to visit the Magic Kingdom that week is to do a little Park hopping!

To do that, you'd need to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets if you don't have it already, then go ahead and make Disney Park Pass reservations for one of the Parks that has availability for the day you're visiting. You must go to the Park where you have a reservation that day first, then you can hop to a different Park after 2 p.m.! Park hopping is subject to capacity, but we've found that there haven't been any issues in the past few weeks. My friend Aena has some great tips on Park hopping that might help if you decide to go this route.

I'd keep an eye on the calendar in case Magic Kingdom reservations open up, but you can also check out some of the other amazing things to do outside the Parks! You can have a splash-tastic time at a water park or in your Resort hotel pool, spend the day snacking and shopping at Disney Springs, play a round of mini golf, or try some of the yummy restaurants in the other Resort hotels. My family does non-Parks vacations a lot because we have passes with blockout dates, and they've been some of our favorite experiences!

I hope this helps you plan a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Kimberly. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
